“Re-Emergence/Irtiqa” Women’s Day Art Exhibit & Show

To celebrate the third generation of women and men benefitting from the women’s liberation struggle, Sameeta Ahmed, who is an artist, architect, poet and curator, curated an exciting mix of artistic expressions at the T2F gallery in Karachi. The exhibition combined visual art (paintings, photography, collage, digital drawings), Performance Art, and Film Screenings by both women and men artists whose work carries social comment, unconventional expression, and explores new ways of being human that challenge traditional oppressions. The Curator asserted that Women’s Day has always been a day for talking about all equality and rights for all oppressed people and for talking about the environment.
